The dwm.exe (Desktop Windows Manager) process is a Windows system process located in C:\Windows\system32\dwm.exe
The process is present on all versions of Windows: Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
This Windows system process manages window displays, it is notably linked to the Aero Peek and Aero Glass effects.
The problem may be caused by a legitimate program that disrupts the Aero display, such as a program that is linked to themes or adds effects to Windows windows. Second, it may be that the graphics settings are too greedy for configuration, or that the graphics card drivers are not installed.
We recommend the following procedure to reduce the graphics resource consumption of the TSplus server.
- Go to the Windows Control Panel
- then System.
- Click on Advanced System Settings.
- Finally click on Customize Performance.
- Apply the "Adjust for best performance" option.
